Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

We share two top 5 in common and my no 2 is Loveless as well, so right on. Awesome chart.
Well done adding You made me realize. I think my favorite song off any of their Eps is "Drive It All Over Me"

A lot of stuff I really like here but for every 9 brilliant albums there's a Parachutes or a Sam's Town bringing it down. Really like the smattering of Post Rock, have you ever heard This Will Destroy You? Their 1st album is right up there with Mogwai and Godspeed's best.

Great music here. You should check out the 60s, 70s and 80s as well. Maybe hip-hop too. You'll find more great music to like.

An incredibly varied chart, which is the best thing a chart can be! A little too concentrated in the past couple decades though. The 60s-80s still had some great stuff to offer!
