I've always wanted to do this and it was much harder than I thought. I tried to balance the greatness of the entire album (not a select few tracks), historical significance as well as which album I love more. A lot of back and forth and a great excuse to listen to all these albums back to back to back! Enjoy!

What are these sounds I'm listening to and why have I not heard them before or since? That's because King Crimson is in a constant shift of redefining music and sounds. There's only 5 tracks but every one of them is perfect all culminating into the title track. I feel like Christopher Walkin when listening but instead of cow bell, its the Mellotron. Does anyone have a couple grand I can borrow so I can finally get one of these things!

I love KC and I'm a huge fan of In the Court but I think Larks' era is the better band. Bruford mentioned he joined King Crimson because the band knew where the song needed to go and didn't need to map it out like Yes did. That is what this album is, controlled chaos. Only the members know where each song will take you and they only know when they get there. Very experimental, way ahead of its time and very difficult to get into but if you just follow Wetton's melodic vocals, they'll guide you through a journey you'll never forget and may wish you never heard!

The most cutting edge album of the 80's in my humblest of opinions. Adrian Belew out talked the Talking Heads, Tony Levin out Claypooled Primus and Fripp out did himself. Still under appreciated today which is a travesty as every track is an absolute classic while maintaining the musicianship you come to expect with KC.

What?! More KC? Are you crazy? Crazy about Starless and Fallen Angel which are my two favorite KC songs. The trio is at their best (They were a power trio on this album if you can believe it)! Bruford's drumming on Starless with a bass line he helped write is simply fantastic as I try to keep up with the 13/8 time. They didn't play odd time signatures because they could, they did because the song dictated it!
