Top 50 Greatest Music Albums by BoosterShane Unknown

I've always wanted to do this and it was much harder than I thought. I tried to balance the greatness of the entire album (not a select few tracks), historical significance as well as which album I love more. A lot of back and forth and a great excuse to listen to all these albums back to back to back! Enjoy!

A perfect mixture of experimental and pop and the way Rick and Dave counter point each other is wonderful. The tone and sound of every instrument is a bench mark for all other performers. Another record that must be listened to with headphones! [First added to this chart: 01/02/2016]

A gateway album, this record made me realize there was a whole world of music out there I wasn't being exposed to. Whatever you want to call them, progressive, synth rock or space rock this album has it all. Amazing hits and hidden gems that are even better than their radio friendly songs. A vague concept but there is a through line that is easy to follow as you explore what music might sound like in our dreams. [First added to this chart: 01/02/2016]

My personal favorite Floyd album. Fantastic songs and sounds from the amazing build of the opening track to epic closing track and everything in between. The entire album is solid and essential music listening. The first Floyd album to step out of psychedelia and into their own genre. [First added to this chart: 01/05/2016]
