Cuando tenía 12 años este disco llegó a mis manos, el primer disco que escuché de la que después se convertiría en una de mis bandas favoritas de todos los tiempos. Amo cada tema a su manera, desde ese intro tan genial de Planet Telex hasta el magistral cierre de Street Spirit este disco significa demasiado para mi ya que trascendio en mi manera de vivir la música.

Lo escuché por primera vez cuando tenía unos 8-10 años con mis hermanos mayores y al principio solo podía pensar que era agresivo y ruidoso pero al mismo tiempo no me desagradaba, y eso llamaba mi atención, con el paso del tiempo pude entenderlo mejor y captar la escencia que posee y vaya que aún siento esa escencia con cada canción que lo conforma.

Jar Of Flies es simplemente asombroso, la mezcla del Grunge con más elementos acústicos que eléctricos convierten a este disco en algo único en su género y a eso hay que añadir que contiene algunos de los mejores temas compuestos por Alice In Chains.

Mi primer acercamiento a la banda y vaya que me dejó una excelente impresión de la misma, me agrada su temática conceptual y la implementación de los elementos acústicos mezclados con el metal y hard rock e incluso un tanto progresivo que caracterizan a la banda.
