My FAVORITE** albums. Hence the emphasis on certain genres and artists.
This is by no means a list of the greats. That's far too difficult to quantify. The listed albums have either spoken to me on a personal level, garnered points for nostalgia, or simply happen to be on repeat in the buds for reasons I cannot explain. They represent my personal go-to albums.

I encourage recommendations. There's a trove of wonderful undiscovered music out there.

Got to credit Waters for this epic tale. The Wall holds some of Pink Floyd's finest tunes. And if you've seen the performance live you can't help but agree the album is among the best for the story arc alone.
My only issue is that it's sometimes tough to give it a full play-through. Comfortably Numb, Another Brick, and Run like Hell each hit home. Were this 10-12 track album, it would be a top 10 album for me. Yes it would detract from the story, but I could live with it. [First added to this chart: 07/07/2017]

First Impressions Of Earth

First Impressions deserved more than it got. Even as I write this, the album rating is 72, despite the average song rating being 79. So the songs are great but the album just isn't quite there? sigh.
You'll read it was too different from their debut and that Room on Fire was too similar. Seems the Strokes can't win. Their works inherently overshadowed by the masterpiece that is 'Is This It?'.

In my opinion, First Impressions was just the right amount of different from their previous works. It showed their diversity while maintaining a hint of the unique "Strokes" sound. My only comment is that it runs a couple tracks long. Evening Sun, 15 mins, Fear of Sleep are ready skips.

I honestly think I'd prefer this if it weren't a supergroup. It's quite an onslaught of sound. You need to be in the right (hype) mood to take it all in. Nonetheless, it's a solid listen throughout. And I'm a sucker for no-skip records.

This is a decent chart, with a lot of classic choices from the 2000s and 2010s. Love that you've included Beach House's 'Bloom' in here!

Although there is something of a stereotypical pattern to this chart in its focus on 2000s alternative and 1970s progressive rock, both genres of inconsistent attraction at most to my ears, I do not think of it as remotely bad. There are enough surprising choices to maintain interest, and even some well-known choices that might not be expected (which I actually like).

Cool selection and nice effort. I was stoked to see Streetlight Manifesto up there, but a little less stoked about Kanye... Personally, i'm not crazy with some of your selections but as a whole your chart holds up especially with stuff like Flatliners, Catch 22, Common and the moe obvious like Arctic Monkeys and the Strokes, etc...
