Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by bea (2021) Unknown

Simply the 100 best albums in my opinion.
Not trying to include as many artists/genres as possible, nor limiting the number of albums per artist.
Original versions are mainly considered; however, good deluxe editions can score some extra points (e.g. In Rainbows, Mellon Collie & Live at Leeds).
No compilations.

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 5% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 88.0/100, a mean average of 86.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.3/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 13.7.

Great chart. Personally, I never got the Bob Dylan thing (I'm probably in the wrong) but apart from that, I enjoy most of the albums here.

Maybe the chart I have most in common with on this website. A lot of Håkan and very little on Beatles. Thats perfectly understandable for me. I found some non known album on your chart and will kolla in dom.

I would recommend you should look up some albums that don’t have a 10/10 rating from almost every music critic on the internet. Music critics are just people too, create your own opinion.

I think it could probably use a little more variety at the top, but I do think you have a lot of good albums here and have good taste.

I'm kinda shocked at having Good News... by Modest Mouse on here but not any other MM albums. I can understand if you simply like it better, but I'm inclined to believe you haven't explored MM's earlier work. Check out The Lonesome Crowded West, The Moon & Antarctica, and This Is a Long Drive..., all are fantastic albums that are much more well done than Good News in my and a vast majority of MM fans' views - again I don't wanna come off as pretentious so its not that there's anything wrong with liking that one more if you've heard the other stuff. But I think you will probably like all 3 of those albums much more if you enjoyed Good News.
