"A minority opinion, but I think Pavement got better with each of their first three albums, culminating with this masterpiece. So much to love here, most notably at the beginning and the end. "Father to a Sister to a Thought" is brilliant too. A very '90s record."  Reply

"This anticipates everything the Foos ever did and it gets bonus points for being the first album. At that time, no one ever thought we would hear anything more about or from Dave Grohl. The first three tracks are still unbeaten by anything they ever did in all the years later."  Reply

"Imagine if Massive attack seriously took to quaaludes. For a year. The next day they swear they are NEVER going to touch that crazy ass shit again because they're paranoid as all fuck, and Tricky just shot a gun at the new guest vocalist because she was talking to another guy. BUT FIRST, you can'..."  [+]  Reply

"Much like GZA's Liquid Swords, this record is an almost cinematic detail of criminal life, but this one is more decadent and unapologetic. Some of the production on this album is just spooky."  Reply

"The follow up and a kind of companion album to, Parklife, is another cracking LP. It hasn't quite got the bite and edge of it's predecessor, but there are some fine songs and many more quirky characters to meet. Best days, is absolutely beautiful, as is, yuko and hiro, and off course, the univers..."  [+]  Reply
