Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.9/100, a mean average of 72.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.6.

Best tracks 1, 8, 12 👏🏻🥰
Good tracks: 2, 5, 9, 10 👍🏻
Probably his purest sound, but not as fully flushed out as Play.
Moby at his frenetic best. Probably not one to listen to first thing on a Monday, but it's great as a lead-in to Friday night. Or when you want to get a work out in. But no Moby album would be complete without those calm, introspective moments, and "God" and "Hive" are two of the best songs he's ever composed.
This album represents a combination of Moby styles, his techno/ambient nature butting up against his punk rockers (think "Animal Rights") on a song-by-song basis. Numbers like "god moving over the face of the waters" and "when it's cold i'd like to die" (used masterfully in an x-files episode) are breathtaking.
The album itself is odd, with a few tracks that should simply have not been included (All That I Need Is to Be Loved, What Love, which are almost complete trash) but it includes the greatest piece of music ever written. Yep, ever! If you've never heard God Moving Over the Face of the Waters, search it out. Best. Song. Ever. And I'm going back to classical times too, why not. Its just the most epic yet personal track possible.
