"Everyone who dislikes this always just dismisses it as a comedy record even though it's so much more. It's absolutely gorgeous. Buckingham Green is lyrically a send up of pretentious prog rock but the music is incredible, the guitar solo is amazing, and the orchestral accompaniment is beautiful, ..." [More]

"The more I listen, the more magnificent it becomes. 75/100 is unbelievably low for this record. The Pot, Vicarious, Right in Two, and Jambi are all instant classic Tool songs. But what makes this album great is the duo of Wings Part 1 and 2. I'm a firm believer that 10,000 Days (Wings Part 2) is ..." [More]

"Someone here commented "A gospel choir has to cover this entire album at my funeral", really without exaggeration, this album seems to be spiritual, it's like a compilation due to the quantity of great songs, with a difference, it's a portrait of a specific moment, without the coldness of a colle..." "sheer bloody genius. If this lp only contained Tightrope alone it would be classic (like carry on my wayward son is the only classic song on that Kansas lp) but there is also Telephone Line, Do Ya and Livin Thing. In it's day, it sold for a new world record too."

"The Pogues best album. Shane McGowan is on top form. It's not brilliant, and is a little inconsistent, but at it's best it's fantastic. Some great songs, especially, sick bed of Cuchulain, a pair of Brown eyes, and the utterly amazing, the old main drag, my favourite Pogues song. The Gallipoli in..." [More]

"I'm probably in the minority when I say this, but I think this is their best album. It may not have some of the big and timeless hits as their other albums did and Dani California was played WAY too much on the radio, but I cannot find a bad song on this album. That's amazing for a 28 song album...." [More]
