"Brilliant and unique album by Armand Hammer. The instrumentals are dark, raw, and slow. The lyrics are thought provoking and have a nice sense of humor. It won't be for everybody, but if you're looking for something unique amond the other Hip Hop albums of 2018, give Paraffin by Armand Hammer a try."  [+]  Reply

"Really can't believe I'm the only comment for this record. I guess thanks to Morrissey wearing that STOP KILLING ME T SHIRT I wouldn't have bought it , it's a indie classic and adored the catchy songs . Don't care what Rolling Stone or NME write about it this is a gem ,"  Reply

"Their first album might be better overall, but it doesn't have "Blanch comme la neige/Perrine etait servante"..It is one of my most favorite album tracks of any genre, partly in french based on a 16th century tune, but perfectly arranged and captures a mood that I have never heard outsi..."  [+]  Reply

"In 1978 Alice Cooper decided to make a record telling his real life at the moment: the fight against alcoholism. With the help of Bernie Taupin (Elton John's lyricist), he produced one of the best albums of his career (in my opinion, THE best). A first line studio musicians band, a varied, well c..."  [+]  Reply

"Genesis' debut album will sound familiar to anyone listening to pop music in and around 1969. I'm sure my father had it - certainly I listened to it a few times around the turn of the decade and found it acceptable, and one track, "In The Beginning" - was on the sampler album Wowie Zowie! World o..."  [+]  Reply

"Good stuff here! It's like Wilco if they wore demin jackets and were angry but still didn't want to make a punk band. So the singer puts more venom in the voice and charges into the fray in his own confusion. I mean titles like 'Sweet Little Thing' and 'Slow Dancing' suggest nice little songs yet..."  [+]  Reply

"It is an album of covers, but it seems he brings more emphasis to the emotion of the lyrics than some of the originals. Really just beautiful.
