Hay periodos más icónicos, pero este disco tiene algunos elementos que demuestran la genialidad de Charly.
El primero y más obvio es no elegir aquellas canciones que desde un principio empataban más con el formato unplugged. El segundo está en lograr transmitir la excentricidad -como uno de los comentarios ya lo menciona- en un formato tan íntimo. Por último, está el elemento lúdico que es quizás el leitmotiv de todo el trabajo de Charly: introducir a la muñeca es introducir sutilmente un elemento eléctrico que parece imperceptible. Para Charly García, hacer música es jugar con las posibilidades del género.

Charly sin duda es un genio, y un Unplugged fue una excelente idea para realizar. Sin embargo, no me gusta en absoluto la epoca de los 90' de él, y en este album es lo que mas toca. Es una lástima, podría haber tocado sus mejores temás en acústico, como algunos de la Máquina, o mas de Serú
This is a compilation, however the songs in this record are so different from the originals, and the album is so good, that I just had to add it. Charly García is maybe the most iconic Argentinean rocker, as he started his career in the early 70`s with different bands and later became a solo act in the 80´s. Both in his group career and as a soloist, his songs and records are a living legend not only in Argentina but in all the Spanish speaking countries. Charly García is well know for his erratic behaviour and drug related problems, but in Hello MTV Unplugged we find him relaxed and enjoying himself in order to offer us powerful and heartfelt versions of some of the best songs in his long repertoire. Being Charly, he ad libs, forgets the words of a song, makes a chatty doll sing in one of his songs and cheers his band during the concert, but this only adds a dose of his unique and eccentric personality into the mix.
