In 1976 Swedish folk singer John Holm found himself partying hard in Stockholm's nightclubs, while at the same time aging. That is what this great Swedish album is about, both in music and lyrics. Still good if you don't know Swedsih, the production is great.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Have you heard "Girl Help Me" by the Zombies? It's a bonus track on one of the O&O special editions. It's my favorite song by them.

well, there are only 3 records on it that i like: nina simone sings the blues, velvet underground & nico and.. ..oh wait, that's 2
it's not bad, i just really don't like dj shadow, wutang clan, kanye west, the clash, pulp, ornette coleman and am pretty much indifferent to the rest.. i listened to odessey and oracle for the first time the other day and i have to say i don't know what all the fuss is about.. there's maybe one or two good tracks but it certainly doesn't hold up to something like pet sounds

sorry but i just did an arithmetic mean (from 29 albums i've listen to). there's a lot of albums i've rated above 50 in your chart (If You're Feeling Sinister, Pet Sounds, Trans-Europe Express, Dummy, In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, Screamadelica) and i consider many others as average (London calling, Revolver, Illmatic, Parklife...). at least we agree on 2 albums (Pavement + The smiths).

Fair enough, and now that you mention it, perhaps top ten is a little high. They are one of my favourite bands, particularly the early stuff like Absolution. Then again kanye second would evoke similar feelings from me.

i'm only familiar with 5 of these however sad that may be, so im not going to rate it. but the ones i know i love so i'll have to check the rest out
