This is a list of greatest albums I’ve ever heard,I had previously created a list that would merely keep me alive in a deserted island,now this one can revive my spirit after my death(as might be expected I haven’t put it to the test yet!)Now I’m looking for elixir of immortality and eternal youth!any recommendations would be appreciated and any opinions are welcome here,in fact I like arguing about my picks.

If someone asks me to name a masterpiece,Electric Ladyland would probably be my first answer,however I admire this masterpiece for personal reasons.Mostly I believe Hendrix was the only true genius of his era.Favorite track:All Along the Watchtower

IMO it's the pink floyd's greatest achievement.Might be a mainstream choice,but for me it's an important album,helping me experiencing a new aspect of music.And that's enough reason to be in my top 10.Favorite track:Time

The best and worst things about Radiohead is that they are obviously very popular.Though this album is innovative and original enough to include in top ten without a second thought.Favorite track:Paranoid Android

My personal favorite progressive rock band.It's hard to pick between "Red" and "In The Court Of The Crimson King",but I'd choose the latter because I quite like this album cover.Favorite track:Epitaph

This album is terrifying,It’s like a horror movie,but even more shocking,It actually makes you feel like playing an unscripted role.It’s not only the music, but also the various aspects of sound effects and techs.Every song creates a haunting horror atmosphere and illustrates frightening and often violent imaginations.In some ways it is a heart pounding adventure.Favorite track:Neun Arme

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

(BTW, instead of creating a 1-album-per-band chart, you may want to consider listing your favourites in order and using the decade and year charts to show all the other music you like).

The basics: covered. the past: covered. the present: covered. prog rock: a favorite. Solid representation of rap, punk, indie, metal, hard rock and other genres. A great chart. Love the commentary. The last 40 deserve the same treatment as the first 60. And don't apologize for liking a popular album. Sometimes bands get good pr. Sometimes an album is just great.
