There's not anything here that I don't like to some extent, I pretty much think all these albums are great in different ways. At the same time it's only a reranked version of this site's top 100 albums, which means that bottom albums are albums I would never have included in my own overall top 100. Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Nice idea, although the result looks kind of silly to me. So, you do not like Joy Division. Which is okay, of course. Your loss. Taste is a funny thing. I would like to do a Top 30 of the Top 100 that don’t belong among the Top 1000. - Also, with a list like this the most popular records get even higher ranked, which is bad, I think.
