37(!) albums in common (and similar in age, too, it seems). Courney Barnett is a great lyricist and sly commenter on modern life. Love the mix of hiphop and solid indie choices. I had to look up Quesnel haha.

Jammer, congrats on the baby. The same thing happened to me in the late 80s and early 90s. Totally lost track of music for a few years but then its like Christmas when you have the time again and get caught up. I actually 'discovered' Pearl Jam in '94. The rap thing is like Christmas now. Everyday I'm discovering new shit that's always been there I was just ignoring it. I have no idea why it clicked with me all of a sudden after 52 years. I'm still pretty confident that nothing will click in me to make me like Country music but in light of my 180 on rap, I guess anything is possible. Enjoy fatherhood. You may miss out on some music for a few years but its worth it.

I've yet to listen to Moon Shaped Pool all the way through, I haven't really been into the few songs I've heard, but it's still on my list. My wife had our first baby in February so all that spare time I used to have to listen to new music has shrunken considerably.

That's great that you've gotten into Rap. I tried a year or two ago and it still isn't clicking with me. I hope I'm like you and get it eventually, it must be great to have a whole new genre open up to you like that.

I've been listening to Pandora recently while driving for my job, and it's so great to find new music. I'm compiling a list of bands and songs I like so I can look into them when I have the time.

Yeah Iron And Wine is the other side of my overall taste, which is for indie folk singer/songwriters, a lot different from the other stuff we have in common. That's really cool that you checked all of that stuff out though, thanks for doing that. Car Seat Headrest has been my biggest discovery this year, which I see you have on your chart as well. Haven't been actively discovering as much this year but that one is brilliant.

That's great I'm glad you like The Orwells. Confuses me why they don't have more of a following, both of their albums are great.

jammer: I can't stop listening to her. I haven't been this exited about a new artist since I listened to Ten back in the 90s.

Isn't the Courtney Barnett album incredible? So glad to have found her. And Speedy Ortiz as well...I'm disappointed how little attention that one is getting, especially on this site. It's a great album. This is a fantastic chart. We have almost half our charts in common, pretty fantastic. I guess that means I should listen to the ones on your chart I haven't heard, I'm sure I'll find a lot to like.

A lot of albums in common, but I'm not digging the Top 10.
