Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 78.8/100, a mean average of 77.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.8/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 15.2.

I think "pedestrianism" is a relative issue, specially in music. so Radiohead obviously could be involved into this situation. but the most important things is that whether you like this pedestrianism or not. (and I love it!)

I enjoy most of the albums in your chart. IMO Radiohead recorded two great albums and the rest of their catalogue is rather pedestrian.

I love Radiohead and Led Zeppelin so I don't mind at all how top heavy your chart is with them. You're obviously not a fan of the Beatles which is fine to each their own. Many people like Dylan, Springsteen and U2 none of which I have ever been crazy about. Very good list though!!

Rolling Stone's lousy list?!... surely I'm agree with you! and my friend! please take a look at my list again, you will see that it's obviously different from their list.

From 8 I think It's fair enough that are picked out 5. anyway by seeing your chart, I like some of your selection (e.g Bob Dylan, Strokes, Genesis,Blur and also Van halen). but I never agree with your reasoning about Radiohead. maybe It's due to the fact that they aren't "antique" in the same way as Beatles! good luck with "I Never Choose Radiohead Albums"
