I took a few years break from this site for a few years and when I come back and look at my old charts, I feel they no longer represent what my music taste is like as a whole. I've made a big revision to my overall chart to include more albums I enjoy, and not just old school rock and the "classics" anymore. Therefore, there are some pretty big difference from this chart from a few years ago. I'd say it's 80% different now but now I feel it's a more appropriate representation of the music I have the joy of listening to.

Art Pop. Ambient Pop, Chamber Pop
Best Track: Wreath
I have loved this record from the very first time I listened to it. However, right then, I didn't expect this album to be my favorite album ever, and yet here it is. It's such a rich and outstanding record that every time I listened to it I would find some new appreciation towards it. This entered my personal chart at 34th in 2018. A couple weeks ago I moved it to 3rd and now it's sitting here at the top.
Onto the music, every single tracks in this album created a perfect harmony. Lush, twinkling production all throughout the album mashed with Hadreas' optimistic lyrics is a powerful combination. . It's a thrilling and emotional experience. Songs like "Wreath" and "Slip Away" fill those emotional quotas while still being uplifting, and exceptionally catchy. The string arrangements are perfect complement to the beautiful lyrics. Hadreas' vocals are rough around the ages but it was the way he pours his hearts out that makes this album sound as good as it is.
Overall, No Shape captures everything I want to find in an album, it's one of the reasons why listening to music isn't just a hobby to me. I consider it a privilege for me to be able to experience this beautiful record.

Seriously good chart. Respect your individuality and although a lot of your choices aren’t in my top 100, I can see why they would be in other peoples.

Great chart only 10 albums in common but most of your choices are so good Bjork Joni Madonna Kate Bush Fiona Apple Lana Del Rey and the great Sarah Vaughan. Perfume Genius at Number 1 ! Stevie Wonder Curtis Mayfield and Funkadelic along with Prefab Sprout really great chart.

Solid chart, great variety of eras and genres. Appreciate the comments on genre and favorite track for those albums I haven't heard of. It seems like this is mostly the "classics", but with a good portion of surprises in here too, including that #1! I'd be interested to hear your take on some other Perfume Genius albums, since that one might be my least favorite of all his albums I've heard (which I think is all except the debut). All still great albums though.
Particularly fond of the 2010s entries in the chart

I like this chart! It's good to see Bob Dylan and Stevie Wonder get the high ratings they deserve. I think you've done a good job incorporating pop music here too, which is something a lot of charts miss out on.
