As usual these are my personal favorites, not the greatest or most influential. Overall I strongly believe the 00's were a much better decade in music than people give the decade credit for. Maybe it is just because I'm relatively younger, but to me once you look past a lot of the radio/top of the chart stuff it was a great decade.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

I strongly agree with you, that the 2000s are, on the whole, a decade that many listeners have failed to give its due. I have a theory for why this is the case, but I'm happy that you've attempted to offer a corrective. We only have a few albums in common on our lists, but I'm finding that to be fairly typical in the 2000s--people's musical tastes just go all over the place in that decade. What areas of crossover we do have, though, are pretty great: I love Funeral (I know everyone does, but it's for good reason), Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and Boxer very much. I'm also intrigued by the inclusion of Tyrannosaurus Hives in your top ten, as that's an album I've never heard. I just got paid, so maybe it's time to go on a downloading spree!
