Very strong year. Top 3 albums should all be #1. Strongest top 10, and feel the same with 2003. I remember The Flaming Lips being my favorite of the year, only because I did not listen to YHF until late 2003 and went full out Wilco crazy from there...
Also, although not one of her strongest albums, I also remember listening to Tracy Chapman's Let it Rain and the song 'Happy' always stood out. It is no 'Fast Car', but one of my favorite songs from that year. Listen to it if you get the chance. It will make you happy and sad and then you will play it again.
