What can I say? I know...this is a great freaking album. If you know Arctic Monkeys from AM, you NEED to go back and listen to their first two albums. Though their debut is incredible, it deals mainly with night life in Sheffield. This album expands on the relationship side of things, but touches on getting older, responding to critics and characters you meet randomly in your life, breakups, sexual kinks, and widening your perspective. It's an indie rock classic and should be held in higher regard.

I still think it's better than Is This It?, though it uses a lot of the same sounds. It has better production and is a great response to the overhype of the band. The Strokes just want you to listen to the music...then you can say they saved rock.

The 2010s were saved with this album just 5 months before the new decade! I didn't feel as if indie/pop had much identity in a decade ruled by hip hop. But this dream pop/indie album drops and, I don't know, gives you hope that so many artists are still interested in making good albums with great lyrics. Give it a listen if you haven't yet.

I wanna say this is the best album of all time, but I didn't want to sound trite. But this album flows like none other before, or after, it.

Just eeks out over Born to Run. The instrumentals and togetherness of the band here is so much fun and evokes fun times in the dead of summer with your friends and in your car.
