What can I say? I know...this is a great freaking album. If you know Arctic Monkeys from AM, you NEED to go back and listen to their first two albums. Though their debut is incredible, it deals mainly with night life in Sheffield. This album expands on the relationship side of things, but touches on getting older, responding to critics and characters you meet randomly in your life, breakups, sexual kinks, and widening your perspective. It's an indie rock classic and should be held in higher regard. [First added to this chart: 01/28/2020]

I still think it's better than Is This It?, though it uses a lot of the same sounds. It has better production and is a great response to the overhype of the band. The Strokes just want you to listen to the music...then you can say they saved rock. [First added to this chart: 01/28/2020]

The 2010s were saved with this album just 5 months before the new decade! I didn't feel as if indie/pop had much identity in a decade ruled by hip hop. But this dream pop/indie album drops and, I don't know, gives you hope that so many artists are still interested in making good albums with great lyrics. Give it a listen if you haven't yet. I wanna say this is the best album of all time, but I didn't want to sound trite. But this album flows like none other before, or after, it. [First added to this chart: 01/28/2020]

Just eeks out over Born to Run. The instrumentals and togetherness of the band here is so much fun and evokes fun times in the dead of summer with your friends and in your car. [First added to this chart: 01/28/2020]

Can't think of America without Bruce! And this album gushes about The American Dream and finding something bigger than yourself- even if that thing is just the idea of chasing something. [First added to this chart: 01/28/2020]

An amazing autobiographical album that, as far as I know, is pretty much true of his life. The best rap concept album I've ever heard with heavy themes while retaining banger status. [First added to this chart: 01/28/2020]

Their most 80s influenced album, The Strokes' really know how to evoke the decade with different sounds and styles while still retaining that alt rock sound we all love. Just listen to "Chances" without thinking of a middle school dance in the middle of winter in 1987. [First added to this chart: 01/28/2020]

One of the saddest and melancholic albums of recent years. Fourth of July will bring the highest Xanax abuser down. [First added to this chart: 01/28/2020]
