The Cramps are a vital reminder that style and attitude are as essential as proficiency. How can a band rely so heavily on "covers" and completely unique at the same time? Lux and Ivy know the answer. It didn't matter whose songs they were singing, it was always made pure Cramps. I love how Lux always sang like the drugs might not hold him together; like he was on the edge of a breakdown. And that edge continues to set them apart from all psychobilly followers.
