"Cave begins the album by transforming Cohen’s lyrics into a unique sonic representation that does indeed sound like a big black mass of snow hurtling toward the listener. While certainly not a bad song, Avalanche sounds less ‘inspired’ than the rest of the album; perhaps he opened with a cover du..."  [+]  Reply

"This is where the depeche mode legend was borne. Out of piano, samplers and keyboards, this synthpop band took root writing songs with personal themes like signature tunes "people are people", "master and servant" and "blasphemous rumors"."  Reply

"Janet packed up and recorded in minneapolis with jimmy jam & terry lewis to finally step outside of brother jacko's shadow with fine beats and cool choreography in her videos. Six of the 9 tracks were radio hits speaking to both the appeal of janet and her ability to establish her own "nasty" ide..."  [+]  Reply

"If your pseudo-music expert friends keep throwing around the term "Paisley Underground" and do not cite this album in their analysis, then it's time to call your pseudo-music expert friends on their BS!!! 1982's "The Days of Wine & Roses" would be situated at the top of my Paisley Underground lis..."  [+]  Reply

"God, Brotherhood is so well-written that, yeah, the production is a bit muddy, but track-for-track, it's incredibly solid. Weirdly, the best and most famous song from the record "Bizarre Love Triangle" doesn't really fit, but who am I to argue with a great track?"  Reply

"Fashionable to bash (even though I didn't think Phil really lost it until But Seriously when he got too AC) but if you were there in 1985, you know you owned a copy. And there are some solid tracks here even if Sussudio wasn't a career highlight."  Reply

"I met Suzanne briefly when she came to play at Kent State. I was friends with her brother Tim. It was pretty exciting, even though there were radio transmissions coming through her equipment that she complained bitterly about. I would have forgotten all about this album without that experience. E..."  [+]  Reply

"This was the first Parsons Album I listened to. The Intro Song (Sirius/Eye in the Sky) is Just hypnotic. Other Key Tracks are 'Silence and I' and 'Wise and old'. The only problem I have with this album is, that it has too much pop. (Children of the Moon, Fingers Burned, psychobabble, Step by step..."  [+]  Reply
