"I think this is the best album from them, almost every song is perfect, from "Walk Away" the album is getting better and better, there are many fast tracks ("Evil And A Heathen", "You are the reason..", "Well that was easy", "What You Mean"), some really great melodic songs ("Fade Together", "Ele..."  [+]  Reply

"In my opinion, Heathen is the best Bowie album between Scary monsters and Blackstar. It includes some of Bowie's best writing for years and it doesn't sound like he's trying too hard either, like he does on Earthling and Outside. A fine album with some fine songs."  Reply

"Fantastic album, criminally underrated - how this isn't even in the top 1000 confounds me. This album perhaps sees the Lips at their most versatile, the album with the most dynamic range - rocking hard on one song to creating astounding beautiful music on the next and not a weak track here (well,..."  [+]  Reply

"You can hear it on "If Looks Could Kill". This band not only evokes Belle and Sebastian but shows potential to surpass them. Yes, it's a lazy comparison but it's so obvious it's undeniable. "Lloyd, I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken" pays its own homage as a beautiful way to start off their brand of swe..."  [+]  Reply

"Sorry to those who love the Killers, but to me, they're repeating the same formula over and over again. I don't see how this sounds any different than Hot Fuss or Sam's Town... In fact, it's the same stuff, without the memorable hooks. I suppose it's listenable, but there's much better music that..."  [+]  Reply

"Always liked PJ, but this album completely won we over for her. It is radical departure from the explosive debut albums, but the aggression or passion is still very much there, although much more hidden. She uses her voice in a different way, very much at the limit of her reach. Daring and haunti..."  [+]  Reply
