"I agree that it is the same song over and over for an hour, but goddamn is it a fucking great song. There's not a ton of dynamic range, but Callahan finds new layers and ideas track after track. If you want a beautiful, poignant folk epic, this one doesn't disappoint."  Reply

"Dinosaur Jr. is one of those bands that, when they release an album, you know what you’re going to get. They’ve been together since 1984 and they’ve always remained true to themselves. They’ve been through hair metal, grunge, 90s alternative, those awkward, like, five years that emo was popular, ..."  [+]  Reply

"This is a really really good album, I was exactly what I expected, it was 2nd to Mellon Collie because the Pumpkins can never top that. It sounds like a modern, grown up version of Mellon Collie, they haven't lost all their energy or creativeness, but there isn't alot of emotion. Mellon Collie ha..."  [+]  Reply

"Everyone who dislikes this thing because of the rapping part in Roll the Bones isn't really a Rush fan. The trio loves and incorporates so much different genres in their music that this shouldn't come as a surprise. They're the coolest guys. Vastly underrated album..."  Reply

"Although it saddens me that Opeth abandoned their metal roots, I have to admit that they've emerged as a truly formidable progressive rock band. This one probably won't have any lasting interest to me, but for prog-rock, it is quite good. The tracks are tight, even as they meander. If it just had..."  [+]  Reply

"Sound & Fury is obviously a huge shift for Sturgill Simpson. Its sort of a throwback record to 80s rock, but there are some other elements in there too. Good album to play loud. I just found there are only 3-4 songs on the album that are memorable at all. Its a change that doesn't bother me, but ..."  [+]  Reply

"I can understand the backlash directed toward this album: Within Temptation's fusion of 80s pop rock and 00s symphonic metal is now complete. Still, it's a collection of consistent songs with quite a few standout moments. It's a concept album, but the story - like most concept albums - is impenet..."  [+]  Reply

"I was sceptical when I first went into this album as I wasn't sure if the group could capture the same magic they had on their record they released this year but I was very quickly proven wrong. As soon as the vocal kicked in on Polaris all my doubts went away as I got once again completely lost ..."  [+]  Reply
