"This might be their best so far. Really opened up for the trumpets, Derek Trucks' heavenly guitar play is less prominent with respect to their previous albums, but still present when it needs to."  Reply

"The Messenger takes the jangly guitar that is Marr's signature and incorporates it with a slightly heavier sound. Or maybe it's just the modern production I am hearing. Either way, the result is a record that is unmistakably English. It's not The Smiths (nothing ever is) but it's worth a listen."  Reply

""Mutant" is a weird and melancholic creature that could have done with trimming away a few tracks, but it's still an impressive piece from Arca who will go on to even greater things with his self-titled record"  Reply

"Great debut from a side project band. Shawn Smith is a fantastic vocalist. This is up there with a lot of the other albums of the early 90's. Reminds me a tad of Screaming Trees. Starts really well with the first few songs then dips a bit. Good album overall though. Pathed the way for their 2nd f..."  [+]  Reply

"Mercury Falling is one of Sting's weaker works. The set of songs aren't memorable and most feed into the perception that Sting is pretentious. Singles like I'm So Happy I Cant Stop Crying are corny. Hung My Head and Hounds of Winter are good songs. I generally skip over this album in the Sting ca..."  [+]  Reply

"A good album album which mostly suffers from having been released in between and in a time of masterpieces. Not an essential Tull album, but definitely a good one for anyone wanting to go beyond their obvious masterpieces."  Reply

"90 to 100/100 (Consistently gorgeous Future Garage/Ambient Techno album with lots of twists and turns and a consistent melodic and rhythmic beauty that I loved.) For me, anyway, this album is a revelation. I love almost every minute of it. The genres of this album are many per the music resources..."  [+]  Reply
