My favorite Pink Floyd album. Roger Waters absolutely killed it with is lyrics and writing. Usually I am not a huge fan of Waters' produccing but this is a masterpiece.

A very underrated classic by Pink Floyd. It might be less accessible than their other peak-albums (Dark Side - The Wall) but I think it's some of the band's best writing, musically and lyrically. Dogs is especially amazing. Gilmour makes his guitar wail with emotion while Waters tells a tragic story of a business man who never had a chance at happiness. Every song on this album is great, nobody does concept albums like Pink Floyd.

For starters, one of the best album covers of all time! The album itself is superb and possibly a forgotten or unrealised treasure by many. I much prefer this style to what came with The Wall. Some beautifully executed Mini Moog work on Dogs. Roger Waters best vocals on any album, Floyd or solo!

Prickly lyrics. Great guitar & keyboard work. The last time all 4 worked as a proper unit. Not quite as polished or accessible as DSOTM or WYWH ...and all the better for it!!

The Album doesn't really get the Attention it deserves. I think it is a lot better than the Wall! But the Wall is always higher ranked because of Rogers good PR...

The best album of all time? Possibly, though most of the time I think the best is Dark Side of the Moon.

As a young punk, I don't really agree with these charts. There is way too much Alternative for me. However, Pink Floyd is probably my favorite group of all time. This one definitely deserves a high rating. I would definitely rate it a 100% because it is far beyond most albums on these charts, or even anywhere. I feel the corrupt media really misses on their description of this album. I have read many places that it is lyrically and musically vitriolic and aggressive, even punk-like. Sorry guys, if this were true I wouldn't like it, end of story. For me it is more fun prog from Pink Floyd that lyrically seems like a cute metaphor inspired by one of my favorite writers, George Orwell in one of my favorite short stories, Animal Farm. Rodger nails these lyrics as usual.
