I don’t repeat any artist in my charts. All of the artists on my lists have only a single album per chart; I never pick up two, three or more albums from the same artist on one chart. Actually, this is not my 100 best albums list. It’s more like my 100 favorites artists and there respective best album.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

All around respectable choices, it'd be nice to see some write-ups though. It does seem like some specific genres are a little grouped together here and there (London calling, nevermind the bollocks, and horses in a row seem to take up most your punk choices), but that doesn't take away from the quality of the picks. Also, idk if I'd say, Duke Ellington is a separate artist from Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, but that's just me.
