Steppenwolf Gold
Compilation
Mixed Nationality Steppenwolf
When i was a kid circa 1983, my parents bought me a cassette for christmas or my birthday. A Steppenwolf greatest hits, maybe not this one, was it. All i remember is that "magic carpet ride", the only song i knew on it, was on the hits album.

The fun thing with cassettes is, if you just put a piece of scotch tape over the indented "tab" on the top (there were 2, one for each side), then you could record over what was already on the cassette. That's what i did, probably recording songs on the radio over it.

Out Of The CellarUnited States Ratt
I grew up pop, r&b, country and rock but started to like hair metal around this time. This was the first hair metal album i bought (this) or had copied. I bought purple rain & the ratt cassette around the same time and i remember my dumb@ss stepdad not knowing anything about either and combining them calling them "prince rat".
