To Mick Ronson: I appreciate you taking the time to rate my chart and your opinion is a valid one, especially if you are not aware of Dr. John's existance. Most likely, you have not heard of many of the artists and albums on my chart and never wil. Because of this and the fact that I gave you an 80, you have rated my chart at a 75. Regarding Ziggy Stardust, He is a fantastic artist and has done some spectacular things in music but is not top twenty for me. Lastly, you ask "Who the hell is Dr.John????????????", he is a relatively unsuccessful music artist as far as sales go but his debut "Gris-Gris" is one of the best psychedelic albums of the 1960's and of all time. There are tribal influences involved and the all album blends together perfectly. Gris-Gris' tribal influences that mix with the psychedelic and New Orleans R&B perfectly. AllMusicGuide describes the album this way: The most exploratory and psychedelic outing of Dr. John's career, a one-of-a-kind fusion of New Orleans Mardi Gras R&B and voodoo mysticism. Great rasping, bluesy vocals, soulful backup singers, and eerie melodies on flute, sax, and clarinet, as well as odd Middle Eastern-like chanting and mandolin runs. It's got the setting of a strange religious ritual, but the mood is far more joyous than solemn. Overall the album is amazing and I highly reccomend it to you.

traitors! what's wrong with a bloated chart half-full of albums you only brush the dust off once a year?

When i first listened to Trout mask replica I to thought it was just random noise. But it is truly one of the most rewarding albums once you listen to it quite alot. It will take a while to start to like it but it is worth the effort.
Also i can understand why you wouldn't know most of these albums because many of them are not mainstream but you should look them up (allmusicguide.com)and you'll see they are great picks and you will probably up your rating.

solid chart. nice choices. and banana brother, oasis is such a good band. people say they just copied the beatles cuz thats wat they have read or heard from places and they think they sound smart saying its overrated cuz so called "music critics" say so. oasis built on the beatles sound, and how is oasis copying the beatles anymore than the congos copying bob marley, snoop dogg copying dr. dre, bowie copying lou reed, and every alt band copying r.e.m., husker du, and the replacements????
