"Its not on the level of their first two albums, but CSN is an enjoyable and cohesive effort. Although none of the songs reach the high points the self titled debut and Deja Vu hit. Graham Nash's contributions to this album are among the best songs. Its his works that stand out from the pack."  Reply

"This album created a whole new genre : Decay Folk. The guitar sounds rotten. The whole atmosphere is damp and bleak. The songs are slowly decomposing and sound as creepy as the cover photo. Absolutely essential masterpiece."  Reply

"I almost picked "I'm still in love with you" or "call me" as they are my favorite Al Green albums, but there are so many great songs on this that I had to pick this album and include an Al Green album on my chart. "Love and Happiness" is my favorite Al Green song. Di..."  [+]  Reply

"A lot of Yes fans give this album a hard time. I think the main reason is that it was a big change in direction for the band who at the time were striving to respond to new tastes bought about by the punk / new wave movement by adopting a less reverent and more spontaneous approach. Gone was the ..."  [+]  Reply

"Every morning, I get down on my knees and thank God that Ronald Isley was born. His performance alone on "Sensuality" puts this album as one of the greatest ever. So perfectly written. "The title track is great, always loved that. The rest of the album swings from excellent (Painter man, He was a Steppenwolf) to unbearable (King of the road, Brown girl in the ring) but for half of it's running time this album is a fresh and fun disco/pop record that still sounds great today. The..."  [+]  Reply

"For all the success that Adam Ant eventually had it's sometimes forgotten that before that success, his band and himself, Adam and the antz, released a new wave/punk classic in, Dirk wears white sox. It's a dark and brooding masterpiece. Car trouble, is excellent, one of Ant's greatest songs. Els..."  [+]  Reply

"At the time of its release (1979) I loved the opening track "Tragedy" and many of the songs which followed. In 2022 upon re-listening I was at falsetto-overload before the album reached its quarter mark. The singles still had something that resonated about them, but I had a difficult time listeni..."  [+]  Reply
