Absolutely fantastic
What a fantastic album this release is. It feels so unique to listen to and is packed full of emotion as well as musical quality. The peak of this comes right at the beginning of the record with the first 4 songs being simply outstanding. They work together so well in opening up the record and in preparing us for this special take on folk music which they have prepared for us. They challenge the listener with their contrasting styles as they can just as easily slip into a more ambient tone and then suddenly crash into a more fuzzy noise rock style which for me makes for an exciting and edge of the seat listen. This record definitely grows on you and it takes a little time and patience to properly get into the music. Due to this, it is one of the most rewarding records that exists because once it clicks you can't help but just fall in love with the soundscape they have created. Overall, this album really is a beautiful record and deserves all the praise and attention that it receives on this site as it is fantastic.

To me this album seems a bit bloated and filled with tracks that go nowhere... but when they do, oh my God, this is so beautiful.

Very happy to have found this one on my Bestever journey. Kinda sucks that I didn’t get to hear it when it came out as I’m sure it would be a soundtrack album to a great period in my life.
The album starts at a godly level with the first 3 tracks - these three songs are always with me. The album as a whole is fantastic, and i find very few albums who start so strong
This album's a grower, not a shower. It's taking me over a dozen listens, but now I think it's starting to click.
I’m so grateful this album exists. I stumbled upon this album digging though the Olympia scene. A treasure for sure. Phil’s writing has kept me engaged.
How is it even possible that this makes me feel so sad yet so happy at the same time?

Some great indie folk songs. The low fidelity of the recording really helps to add to the intimacy of this record.
