"Ambient masterpiece. All done in one take from start to finish with lots of beautiful and varied samples laid over the original music of the KLF. It's just a really interesting album. I, clearly and emphatically, love it from start to finish. Recommended for anyone who likes ambient or electronic..."  [+]  Reply

"The production maintains this cold, artificial, alien, minimal sound - at times it comes close to sounding too empty, but it never does, it manages to keep your interest throughout the whole running time of the album, not to mention there are tracks like I'm Destructive that provide a welcome -if..."  [+]  Reply

"The first of the Gil Evans collaborations. Years ago, I would get baked during baseball's playoffs and watch the games with the sound off and Miles Ahead playing. It was uncanny how many times the ebb and flow of the game matched the music. Or maybe it was just the weed."  Reply

"I’d recommend people getting into the band to start here. They finally deliver some very good songs such as Happy House, Hybrid, Christine which is the best track & Red Light and the whole album is worth a listen."  Reply

"The second half of this album has a specific melancholy mood that I have never heard in any other music. It evokes a sense of loss without approaching any catharsis."  Reply

"I used to have a 2-1 cassette with The Cars on one side and Candy O on the other. Poor old Candy O was IMO the poor cousin. Often I would just rewind many of the tunes say except Let's Go, Candy O and Dangerous Type so I could listen to The Cars again. Over time, while I still feel it isn't quite..."  [+]  Reply

"This album is a masterclass on being able to balance laid back yet effective cool jazz/bop sounds with out of this world experimental jazz. Some mesmerizing moments on here, but some 'less is more' memorable hooks as well. What a brilliantly layered record."  Reply

"After the 'sessions' album and tour Bruce Springsteen re-united the E street band for the 2007 record, magic. As on the rising, Springsteen was always better when he had something to write about. 9/11 was the rising, magic, was the aftermath of that terrible tragedy, most notably, George W Bush, ..."  [+]  Reply
