Neil Young might not rate it but I regard this as the Springfield's best album.

This relatively unknown album was recorded as a private pressing in 1969. Best described as Loner Folk it tells the story of the singers rise from drug hell and redemption through religion. However his is no Christian happy clappy record. Bixby in later years described his distaste for organised religion. A beautiful spiritual recording that deserves a far wider audience

Really appreciate such compilation of 70's California, especially Burritos, lots of the rare stuff and Jackson Browne in top 5

These are some of my favourite albums of all time which I listen to on a regular basis. I recall watching a tv show about classic albums and a well known rock star cited The Beatles Sargent Peppers as the best album ever recorded but then went on to say he hadn't listened to it for 20+ years. That to me is a contradiction. A classic album should be one you enjoy on a regular basis and not just recognised for its historic value. So here's a mixed bag - classics and little known records - all my favourites
