The most perfect compilation ever (well in my eyes anyway)...this is possibly the only album on BEA where I've rated every single track at 90+.

I guess I best explain myself as this one is going to stand out like a sore thumb. Back in the day I used to hate all this chest thumping stadium rock bollocks but a couple of years ago I picked this album up and was amazed just how great it was. Downbound Train is my favourite but it's jam packed full of great songs and I even find myself mellowing to 'Glory Days', which for me has always been up there with 'Walk of Life' as cheesy 80's songs go. Will someone please slap me!!!

Had this gamble failed Blur were finished as a band. Very much a call to arms for British kids after a few years of American grunge domination on these shores. Fortunately enough kids were listening who swiftly popped out to get a hair cut whilst buying a Fred Perry on the way home and the seeds for britpop were sown.
