Some of these could be considered post-punk (Gang of Four), hardcore (Fugazi), or too experimental to be called punk (Pop Group/Big Black), but as usual my criteria for this list is fairly loose.
I know I'm missing albums so just suggest something already. Compilations are fine. Sorry no Green Day, No Blink 182, no Nirvana. Why? Because I said so.
