Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Looks to me that we had very similar takes on the 2000s as a decade. I really appreciate your inclusion of Funeral, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Sound of Silver, and Boxer, for starters (all of which made my top 100 of all time). I also can't argue with Picaresque at #1, as it's such a beautifully crafted, easily recognizable monument to what made the decade as a whole such a great time for music. Fantastic selections overall!

Radiohead is my favorite band and probably the best band of the 2000s, but I think you get a little carried away with their greatness here. Is Amnesiac really better than all but three non-Radiohead albums released in the last decade?
Lots of great records here.
