"God Bless is the second of two 1960's psychedelic masterpieces of Mayo Thompson. Thompson composed it after a stay in New York and a collaboration with Joe Byrd of the United States Of America. This album is just as experimental as the debut but slightly less unified. The album still shows a natu..."  [+]  Reply

"Decent album, good melodies, nice song ideas. It's sometimes kind of overwhelming how much is packed into a song, but it never gets mushy or that I felt lost in the song. I think this album develops with every time you hear it completely."  Reply

"Not featuring the massive singles of her Tapestry album, this 1973 release from songwriter/singer Carole King features 13 tracks of the same piano driven pop which were also splendidly contained on the aforementioned million seller. Despite the lack of singles, King delivers each of these tracks ..."  [+]  Reply

"Due to the style of the songs, this album is never going to be rated a classic. Way too whimsical by half ! Very much of its time. However, having first heard it when I was 10, I have a lot of affection for it. The childlike quality of the songs appealed to me..and still does in a nostalgic way. ..."  [+]  Reply

"This microgenre has gone from a funny joke to something with surprising depth. From the electroclash of Sophie and Charlie XCX to the aggressive trap of 100gecs, it is clear there is a lot you can do with this idea. I see a good chance it will blow up even more than it already has in the future."  Reply

"As a 12 yr old I loved this album. I now see it for what it is; light weight dross. However, the man could sing. And Your the Voice is very good song Worthing some very mediocre tracks."  Reply

"Not just a criminally good debut, a criminally good album. It's a real shame that artists like Paul Draper just do not seem to stand a chance in this world of mediocrity. Tisk, tisk. Apparently this album was pretty much already done when Radiohead was only getting started in recording their most..."  [+]  Reply
