Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by masonfuchs
I like my pop noisy and my noise poppy.
I'll be going through these periodically. I will be updating them with reasonings and some lyrical excerpts.

"If there is a hell. I'm sure this is how it smells." [First added to this chart: 01/19/2015]
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's third album is the happiest thing I've ever heard in my life. I'm convinced the english language could never sound this overjoyed. Pika Pika Fantajin is the new staple of J-pop combining SNES synths and near vocoloid distortion with modern pop production and truly unique instrumentals. Her marriage of Japanese "Kawaii" stylings with grotesque kitsch is truly something to see. These candy coded hooks will eat your brain like a parasite. Enjoy!

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 85.9/100, a mean average of 85.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.9/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 7.4.

It would be nice to have more discriptions or notes
Really dig this chart and like the descriptions
Good chart
Best chart I've seen...up until Savage Garden and Phantom Planet anyway. Great to see Tusk in there.
I dig this chart a lot. Especially the inclusion of Yuck and Slaughterhouse. Plus some Sigur Ros love is always good
Spectacular chart! Special kudos for:
Iceage -Plowing Into The Field Of Love (3)
Malajube - Trompe-l'oeil (10)
The Antlers - Burst Apart (27)
This Will Destroy You - Another Language (28)
Still magnificent.
There are quite a few albums in there that I love but also others that I can't connect with.
I do like Bright Eyes (though clearly not as much as you).
