Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 81.4/100, a mean average of 78.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.2/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.6.

I actually like your list. Nothing wrong with putting every Beatles album. And I see you like VW as much as I do :) Kinda surprised to see Taylor Swift at #11. Not sure I agree with that. But a lot of good stuff!

There's just... way too many Beatles.

Also, I noticed you gave your #5 choice a B. Here's a bit of advice: Many of the albums that make you feel the most emotionally aren't the most popular. Unfortunately there are too many people who hop on the nearest bandwagon and promote whatever's popular.

Just remember: the more you listen to, the more your chart grows. I know: in the past two weeks I added 4 new albums to my top 40. (And my top 50 is made up of 95s and 100s).

Don't spend your time with the overall chart, spend your time finding charts similar to yours and listening to the stuff you don't recognize. Trust me, this site is your best friend when it comes to enjoying everything the world of music has to offer. Just know how to use it right.

Interesting choices you have in this chart mate, but i would sugest to narrow your chart to 50 or so great amazing albums, you just cant put every colplay, beatles and eminem album. Choose the ones you love the most and give it to us. Im digging Taylor Swift lol

A Very Very Good Chart. Classic and modern. If I didn't enjoy strange experimental, Pop trash,70's Guitar and Australian music so much this would be quite close to what my chart would look like.
