The title track is, to me anyway, with Starless and Dogs as the three pinnacles of Prog Rock. This album is alongside Animals and ITCOTCK.

Not his best album by any means, though it does have some damn fine tunes on it. And "It Ain't Easy". That's there, too. Unfortunately.

His most popular album pretty much just on the basis of "Heart of Gold", which, listening to it again recently, wasn't quite as awe-inspiring as I remember it being before I was more familiar with his discography. Half of these songs are some of the best he's ever made, and the other half are thoroughly mediocre.

I'm a New York boy myself, but "Walk on the Wild Side" is easily the best thing he's ever done. And that includes TVU.
