"This is a really interesting album - I like how it plays around with different tones and sounds in a way that almost sounds like noise rock filtered through a post-punk lens. Unfortunately, all the chaos results in very few songs that work, and the ones that are interesting outstay their welcome ..."  [+]  Reply

"Haha, this was my first Prince album. I guess that's maybe a little pathetic, but come on, I was a kid, I didn't give a fuck about Prince. I did like Batman though, that is the most nostalgic movie ever for me. This was and still is a good soundtrack, it's not one of his best albums but it's good..."  [+]  Reply

"I never got the proto-black metal stuff. Sounds pretty much like a thrash-metal album with cool riffs and great use of tempo changes without being technical. Maybe the tempo changes could be similar to what death-metal bands tend to more often than thash, but I do not hear the black metal stuff. ..."  [+]  Reply

"I was working in a record store when this first came out. It was brought home along with probably a dozen other lp's and somehow forgotten. To my surprise I found this hidden gem 2 weeks ago and WOW what a rocker. His guitar tone on this album is just great. Although not Mr. Youngs best, it shoul..."  [+]  Reply

"There is a great expression in her voice that is very sincere, deeply and strongly felt. My favorite songs are "Like The Way I Do" and "Bring Me Some Water". It is a worthy album to have in your collection."  Reply

"This album is baffling. One minute he offers a solid song like "the boys of summer" or "sunset grill", and the next a batsh|t awful song like the title track or "you're not drinking enough" (oh, the irony!). It's like he was intermittently sniffing markers or 10w40 or somethin'... Anyway, his mis..."  [+]  Reply

"This is serviceable metal, but far, far, far from Fates Warning's best. Fates Warning would later seriously upgrade their vocals, their songwriting, and the sheer depth of their music."  Reply
