"I stumbled upon a Butthole Surfer set at CBGB on YouTube and was pleasantly surprised. Really dug the set so I decided to check out some of their music. Interesting listen. The album hits a nice stride with Dum Dum Wolly Boly and Negro Observer. The rest is a little too hardcore punk or just plai..." [+] Reply

"After having one of the most productive years of his song writing career, releasing a ton of classic songs willy-nilly as non-album singles, b-sides and eps, Weller suffered extreme writers block. The resulting album, Cafe Blue, was scraped together from jam sessions and pointless re-recorded ver..." [+] Reply

"While this is still an artist finding his groove, there is a ton of ambition in a few tracks, notably Red Army Blues, which begins with layered acoustic guitar and moves through a seven minute epic lyric. "This is a great album and very underated, once you hear it you say "oh that song" and so on, it's kinda strange how it doesn't get the same kind of ratings or fame as kick, the album is good in the regard that it has some very well known tracks, you could say it's a hidden gem of Inxs albums." "Bit too basic for my tastes - Hard Times, Wake Up and 30 Days aren't particularly impressive showcases of rapping or beats. There are some highlights though, Rock Box has some pretty great guitar work to compliment the energetic vocals, and Jay's Game is a classic example of 80's turntablism." Reply

"“Knocking at Your Back Door” is so rousing! The title track stands out too. Really not a bad song on the album. This is the best work they’d done in years." Reply
