Maybe the most important album for the evolution of my own music taste.
Opened the doors to bands like Arcade Fire, The Strokes, LCD Soundstsytem, Joy Division for me.
Most cohesive album for me where the songs individually sound great too.
The whole spirit of the album triggers me to keep listening to it again and again.
Favourites: Stella was a diver and she was always down, Obstacle 1, NYC.

Catches me every time I listen to it.
From haunting songs like Black and Release to pure rawness on Jeremy and Once to just killer rock tracks like Alive and Even Flow. Even the order of the songs I think is perfect.
Garden is also criminally underrated.
Favourites: Even Flow, Black, Garden, Jeremy.

Really can remember the moment I put on this record the first time and it instantly hit me. Right from the first track I was thinking 'okay, if this is the standard for this album, this is going to be something special'.
Such a shame they never were able to reproduce such an album..

First vinyl I bought myself.
Don't think I have to say anything about this one, it speaks for itself.

Really can't find a bad song on it.
Lyrics, energy, riffs, creativity, rebellion it all comes together here. Morello's innovative guitar playing, Zack's rawness, the possibility Morello gives to Commerford to excel and Wilk keeping it together.
One of the best debuts ever. Groundbreaking in the scene, inspired many great bands like Muse.
Favourites: Know your enemy, Bombtrack, Killing in the name, Take the power back.

Comments:
The simplicity of songs like Buddy Holly and In the garage and at the same time the unique of songs like Say it ain't so and mostly Only in dreams. The rawness of grunge but at the same time the nerdy sound and desire to be cool. Weezer captured the best of both worlds.
Weezer maybe is the most versatile rock band with catchy pop-songs, outstanding alternative songs and good rock songs.
Surely their best work, with Pinkerton close behind.
Favourites: The World Has Turned And Left Me Here, Say it ain't so, My Name Is Jonas.
