Conceptual Extension - part 1, 1950s: "Jazz fulfills requirements of an album"
A new music format, the vinyl record (LP), was launched (CBS-Columbia) in 1948.
In the music side,the jazz musicians were the First Champions of Vinyl.
They had enough "new to report," the new format. This is also reflected in my selection music of the decade.Compare the jazz and rock 'n' roll with each other: the Rock 'n' roll was almost exclusively "single music". I have an 'early rock' listened to only after the published collections. But the jazz of the decade, I have bought the re-release albums in the form. A major difference!
However, only 12 albums, because I can't call myself a decade as an absolute expert...but music is still good.
