90.45 Riffs. Rhythm. Melody. These guys are king of it all. There's no one that sounds even remotely like them. Totally unique. Truly original in sound which is what gives them the rite to being among Metal's elite. All hail the System 06/24 [First added to this chart: 10/17/2020]

84.64 QOTSA are the kings of producing tracks of great rhythm and flow. This seems to be a bit of an overlooked album. Fuck knows why? It's up there with their best. Even the slower songs make for some of the coolest lounge music ever with Josh Homme's crooning vocals. [First added to this chart: 10/17/2020]

79.50* Surprised me greatly. Not a big Foo's fan so wasn't expecting great things. Specially with this being a double CD. It was all the tracks I didn't know that made the album. The 1st CD kicked arse. Even the 2nd disc being a lot mellower was pleasantly enjoyable. It's made me reassess my feelings towards the Foo's. 01/25 [First added to this chart: 01/11/2024]

78.50 This is one of those albums that is easily forgotten. Then every time you pull it out,you realize it's so fucking marvelous. It's drift away music with subtle rock melodies and harmonies. Then you put it away and it's greatness is again forgotten. A strange tranquil rock beast. [First added to this chart: 10/17/2020]

77.14* For reasons unknown, Disturbed have always been a band I've never given a second glance at. Even though I love their song 'Down with the Sickness', I've never ever contemplated getting any of their albums. Just always overlooked them.  How silly of me. They're actually a lot more Metal than I thought they were. And based on 'Down with the Sickness' I should have realized. Pros: Skilled vocalist. Skilled musicians. Can do the dark to light contrast well. Pretty steady and consistent from start to finish. However.....Cons: It does all sound way to similar showing there's something lacking in the songwriting stakes to push them to them next level. Best tracks for me were the first and last. 03/25 [First added to this chart: 09/17/2024]

75.45 In amongst the many English Alt/Indie bands of the era. Cracking start. Then it's a bit of a conundrum. Even though it's in no way bad and you can't fault the songs, there's something lacking which gives it a slightly dull outcome 03/25 [First added to this chart: 11/15/2024]

75.00 Always good when a band in the 2000's does a metal album without trying to reinvent the wheel. Just straight forward metal. With this they've done alright. There are some absolute cracker tracks on this showing they can write a decent song. However, there is a fair amount of filler as well. Not one that sits with the behemoths of the metal world, but above average. Interesting that 'Bat Country' was voted the best metal song of 2005. Matter of opinion I guess. 01/24 [First added to this chart: 08/22/2023]

Bit of a mix mash. (Maybe that's why the title is Odditorium). First track being spoken word is completely unnecessary and is not a good opener. Next two tracks plus a couple at the end have long jamming outro's. Very strange in regards to the running order. But like most Dandy's albums there's a nice continuum of rhythm and flow throughout. Not bad, just a bit disjointed. [First added to this chart: 10/17/2020]
