Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Classics oriented with a few surprises. The 70s were pretty great eh?
Your loyalty to your favourite artists is to be admired ~ with 30% of chart space dedicated to 5 artists.
Packed full of classic albums. You’ve got all of the basic ingredients here to build on to explore more widely. Great start to what will undoubtedly become a life long passion. Enjoy the journey
You have great taste - nice work! Many albums in common with my chart. You've got a similar problem to mine - that is choosing or separating out the best albums from the best artists and therefore they dominate your chat lol. These albums however can all be justified being in a greatest 100 - even if it's as many as ten, especially when it's a band as good as The Beatles.
