"The core melodies of each song are great, but the solos go a little too much off track, in my opinion, to the point where you just want the solo to stop so the main melody can play again. That being said, it was still a fun listen and Monk is definitely a very talented musician." Reply

"This album is apparently about communication and how talking can solve most problems so lets talk about The Division Bell I recon I come from a neutral place evaluating this album , first and for most I'm a music fan , I think Pink Floyd are ok & neither love nor hate their work . "Okay, gave it a couple more listens. This is as sleek and deceptive a record as one could want from The National. It's like the band listened to FKA twigs's LP1 over and over, and thought, "What if we did our version of this?" It's hard to tell if anything will stand with the rest of The National..." [+] Reply

"Fantastic album of immaculate sounding, experimental and yet hooky songs. As others have noted, this is far more similar to other early 70s glam rock than Eno's later ambient work. As someone who far prefers glam rock to ambient music, that's fine with me. In fact, I prefer this album to any of R..." [+] Reply

"One of the best Bowie's records, should be rated higher than "Space Oddity" or "The Man who sold the world". This shows Bowie's artistry and versatility. People tend to be allergic to pop music, but it's not easy or lazy being likeable or make good music and still be popular, Bowie accomplished i..." [+] Reply

"CONTEXT: Smith's second album is a full realization of his early sound--quiet, haunting, and powerful. MUSIC: Acoustic guitars dominate the record, with a dash of snare drum, electric guitar lines, and organ sprinkled in a few spots. Each song is captivating and well-arranged. LYRICS: Smith asser..." "This could've been so much better if it wasn't so damn long. Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me has the most varied selection of songs in the Cure's discography, but that also means that many tracks don't hold up very well. "Just Like Heaven" is one of my favorite songs of all time, and there are other gr..." [+] Reply

"Oh boy, I "avoided" this band for so long, I didn't know what I was missing! This might be their best, or at the very least it best represents the band as a whole. There are the somewhat crazy, but super fun songs like Grass and Purple Bottle, and then there are the stripped down, psychedelic, so..." [+] Reply
