Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Although the chart leans very much to one genre, you still managed to make it look very fresh and varied. Time to give The Cure another chance, I see them quite often on this site.

Excellent chart. We have very similar taste, can't argue with any of your picks. Love to see "You are the Quarry" getting the ranking it deserves.

Any chart with Disintegration at number one is worth looking at. I love The Cure, sometimes I think Disintegration should be my number one, I have it as 3, but sometimes it is my favourite album.
Plenty Cure albums, good to see Story of the Clash, brings back memories of my misspent youth. Bauhaus! Love them. Same with Cocteau Twins.
