Probably the best concept album of all time, if not the most important. If you've only ever heard Comfortably Numb you're missing out. [First added to this chart: 03/25/2016]

Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. This was my favorite album in middle school and much of high-school. [First added to this chart: 01/20/2016]

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 17% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 87.4/100, a mean average of 88.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.2/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 11.6.

Really great stuff, love the notes too. Looking forward to seeing the complete list - though nothing at all from the 80s?

Thank you for the comment on my chart, I really digged yours alot! You should definitely listen to Loveless again, it didn't click with me on my first listen either until I did repeated listens. Yeah I'm also a Fantano fan but most of my favorite albums came from recommendations from close friends and RYM.

Nice list, keep expanding! I would have expected to see Amnesiac higher, but I'll get off your case ;) Here's a couple albums I would recommend:

Massive Attack - Mezzanine. A trip-hop album kinda like Dummy, and in the same vein as radiohead's electronic stuff.
The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battle the Pink Robots. Another great album by the Lips that is pretty similar to the soft bulletin. They also have some great, and more noisy stuff from their earlier years if you're interested

Good looking chart so far! So nice to see Lateralus at 6, i have it at number 5 right now, a killer album. Nick Drake and The Smiths are great additions.
