Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by rnanderson8

List of albums I consider to be the greatest. This should exemplify my music taste and hopefully anyone reading this finds something new to listen to. Constantly updating and adding new albums. You'll find a mix of indie, hip-hop/rap, post-rock, emo, shoegaze, and what you'd hopefully consider classics. Completely and utterly subjective. Enjoy!

Songs w/ (*) are considered some of my greatest tracks of all time.

Radiohead's seventh album is a masterpiece. It's their most beautiful and most raw work to date and every song is perfect both on its own and in the entire scope of the album. Songs like "Bodysnatchers" and "Jigsaw Falling Into Place" with their addictive hooks will have you dancing while those like "Nude" and "Videotape" will have you crying into your pillow. Impeccable flow, songwriting, lyricism, guitar work, etc. Will likely be the greatest album for the rest of my life. 100

One of the most overlooked albums in terms of its songwriting and consistency, if there's one album on this list everyone should give a listen its this one. Never has an album become better and more addictive with every listen. Starting with two straight minutes of feedback, it may be reasonable to question whether it's worth waiting it out (it really really is). 100

A masterful work about dwelling in death, youth, and love. All ten tracks demonstrate just how talented singers/songwriters Win Butler and Regine Chassagne really are. This record really rocks, and might make you shed a few tears. 100

The best record from one of my favorite post-rock artists and one of the most underrated artist of the genre. The LP has three sides, the first side of which might be the greatest side on any record. The three sides separates the album into its three distinct acts, all of which are well written and produced. However, the first three songs on that first side breaks consistency and presents the best material first, really making the latter half of the album sometimes a drag. Overall really well produced hectic but confined builds. 95

Best Track(s): Frederica*, Auberge Le Mouton Noir, Ontario Plates, Horns Of A Rabbit, Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!

Worst Track: It's Gonna Rain

You can rip on Chris Martin's more recent records, sure (there his and no one elses sadly). However, there is no denying that his first few records contained excellent songwriting with catchy choruses and addictive hooks. Most of which for me accumulated on their sophomore album. It has "The Scientist", an incredibly melancholic love ballad, followed by deserved Grammy-winning song "Clocks", and Coldplay's most underrated song, the greatest song they've ever written in my opinion, the title-track, "A Rush Of Blood To The Head". 95

Best Track(s): In My Place, God Put A Smile On Your Face, The Scientist, Clocks, Warning Sign, A Rush Of Blood To The Head*, Amsterdam

Great post-punk album, the first four tracks are perfect and even though the latter half loses momentum a bit there is still excellent songwriting and vocals across all these tracks. 95

Great textures, great vocals, little to complain about. How do you follow up one of the best records ever made? I guess just do what Radiohead did here. Idioteque is overrated. 95
